In the early hours of December 5th during a party to celebrate the “Lame Horse” nightclub’s eighth anniversary the tragedy occurred. Over a hundred people died, about 130 are in critical condition in hospitals in Perm, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Chelyabinsk.
The fire was caused by fireworks inside the club. Within minutes after the tragedy firefighters, rescuers and emergency doctors arrived at the venue and started transporting the injured to hospitals of Perm and other cities.
Perm residents began collecting money for the injured. Families who lost their relatives are provided with all necessary help. Federal, regional and local governments granted all necessary resources for that. Since Saturday people have been bringing flowers to the place of the tragedy.
Many people from Russian and foreign cities offer their deepest sympathies and condolences to all the families and friends of those who died and those who were injured in the terrible tragedy in Perm.
President Dmitry Medvedev declared December 7th an official day of mourning throughout Russia for victims of Perm nightclub fire.
